Hi, i’m Sophia!

it is my goal to open a coffee cart by the time I turn 25….. which is in June! we are so close to realizing this dream!

After spending years in the service industry (and slowly dying), I knew it was time to pursue my dreams even though they ‘didn’t make sense’. I was tired of waiting around for the perfect moment. now is always the perfect moment!

I have had the privilege of spending several years in the specialty coffee industry in the past (prior to the soul-crushing job as a waitress), and it is the most fun space to work in (and awesome in terms of free coffee lol). I learned so much from fellow Orlando coffee lovers, people who chased their own dreams and have thus inspired my own! I owe all of my coffee knowledge to so many cool people.

it finally dawned on me that I can start my own mini shop right now, and the support and encouragement I gained from the very beginning has been absolutely astonishing.

small moments matter. we only have right now.

this cart is hand built by my dad, a dream in and of itself. we didn’t have a relationship for a 10 year period of my life, but we got a second chance. I truly could not be more proud of him. he has a true talent for building things and making them beautiful, and when I presented this idea to him he jumped in full force, my number one fan in kickstarting my dreams.

I know firsthand how rare it is to have second chances like I did with my dad. my mom passed away when I was 16, losing her years long battle with addiction. she never even got to meet the version of me who loves coffee.

for this reason and so many others, my hope is that paperback coffee can be there for your special moments with the important people in your life. I would give anything to have another cup of coffee with my mom, I want to provide a space where you can have one with yours. its more than coffee- its kindness, bravery, joy, living in the moment, memories, life change. small acts of kindness can genuinely change the world - and yes, that includes your little ole cup of coffee.

I live in the greater Orlando area with my husband, shade, and my two cats (Loaf & croissant), and we genuinely could not be more excited to bring paperback coffee to life. you are apart of this dream with us! welcome to paperback coffee!
